KOWLOON, HK: Party in the Village

Last night I went to my friends electronic - noise concert in the Kowloon artsit village. The clouds were of all dimensions, solid and deep set as the sun dipped below the skyline. I took a taxi which cost $124.00 (divide by 7)...and I felt like I was flying! I watched the light show from across the harbor as we sped thru the underground tunnels, lights flashing past...Green. Green. Green. Green. I looked back to see the Reds.

The show had a small audience, and I was hosting the French artist at my apartment (we met in Beijing). He played great music (http://www.unescargotvide.eu/) and I met many new people from around the world. Israel, France, NZ, Belgium, Korea, Japan, Germany etc... we talked about politics. They grilled me on Obama, a favorite topic of mine! And I listened to these two brothers from New Zealand tell me about the magazine they publish in Taipei (Great read: http://whitefungus.com/). After a bunch of chatter and questions about bigmacs, Michael Jackson and our dear US President...we all went to a Thai Dinner in the village. It was a good night. I eventually found my way home on the train and wrote everything down in my journal :)
